Gites are vacation rental properties and homestay accommodations. The Gîtes de France has developed over the years to become the first network in Europe homestay, and celebrated its fiftieth anniversary in 2005. Our purpose is to promote tourist stays in the best home and comfort to meet the requirements and needs of tourism authenticity, conviviality, nature, tranquility, discovery and space, contribute to the development and to heritage conservation and the environment, mainly in rural areas, participate in local development and help set the rural population by providing additional resources.
